Aesthetic Institute of Miami
A leading institute in cosmetic injectable training
Tired of seeing this on every training website?
Every training center claims to be the best botox training course. Training in neuromodulators such as Botox and dermal fillers can be expensive. This is because most course are in person with limited spots and require an instructors time and equipment.
State licensing boards may have specific requirements for practicing these procedures. Your ability to preform these procedures is rooted in your ability to practice your profession, and you should check with your state licensing boards directly. As an example, some states do require a state or board approved course, and others require working under a medical director. Do not be tricked by courses that make you a certified injector, master injector, or certified in Botox.
A practitioner cannot become certified in Botox or Dermal Fillers. Botox and fillers are medications that get injected into the body, you do not get certified in every medication administration, but you do get training. This course is for continuing education only and you will receive a certificate of completion. Licensing and scope of practice for cosmetic injectables, vary by state and profession. It is the responsibility of each licensed provider to confirm their eligibility and compliance with their respective state boards. Some states require a hands on course. Other states require a certain amount of CE hours. This course does not provide legal advice. As health care providers, competency is what matters, and it comes through education and experience, and that is what this course is about. Providers should not call themselves certified in botox or filler as it can be misleading to the public. You should instead say trained in botox and dermal filler.
What makes us different?
Transparent Information
We want providers to know that there is no certification in cosmetic injectables, just training and competence. If you have questions about whether you can preform these procedures, check with your state licensing board. Another place to get started is to ask your local pharmaceutical representative. The reps for the different reputable, aesthetic companies know who is allowed to use these medications in the area and only sell the products in accordance with state law.
Reasonable pricing
Because we do not have to rent large spaces, go through lots of expensive product with each class, we can offer continuing education on the topic at a fraction of the cost. This allows providers to learn about aesthetics without feeling the pressure of spending thousands of dollars on advanced training courses.
Online/On-Demand
There are several downsides to these in-person courses. They are often only available to health care professionals with an active state specific license where the course is being held, otherwise you cannot participate in the hands on component. In addition is the cost of travel, room and board and a venue. You spend most of the time watching other beginners inject for their first time. Sometimes the models do not even show and the hands on component is skipped! Not to mention, it also can be stressful to perform a new procedure after a weekend course in front of a bunch of strangers.
Here at the AIM we created the Wisdom Cosmetic Curriculum which is an on-demand comprehensive Botox and Filler training course that provides an overview and demonstration of the cosmetic injectable products available here in the U.S.
